Title: DM500HD V1 Sim2.10 No CA Found no luck with optiflasher
Thread Modes

Many thanks. This gives me new hope. If the sim is ok I am sure I will be able to fix this in the end. One more question please: If I select advanced mode 2 why does Optiflasher try to use the lan after sending the flash loader? Should it not carry on using the usb serial connection?

Your box use mini usb cable not R232 cable such as dm800 and dm8000.
So you need to use lan + mini usb in the same time ..
You can also try advanced mode 1 .. may help you.

P.s make 100% sure your mini usb cable recognized with pc (don't forget to install driver)

I said usb serial connection as that is what I understand the mini usb service connection is. It is clear I should not use an R232 cable as I wouldn't know where to plug it in. By the way I tried three different mini usb cables with exactly the same results or lack thereof.
I had the driver loaded of course otherwise I couldn't select the serial port on Dreamup or Optiflasher. Thansk for pointing me to the driver anyway, but it is the same version I already have. I unistalled mine and reinstalled yours just in case. No change in results :-( unfortunately. I did try a couple of times advanced mode 1 also, but that fails immediately as it cannot find the LAN of course.
So the question remains: Does "Socket error..." refer to the service mini usb connection or the LAN connection? If the latter, why does Optiflasher try to use the LAN even when I select Advanced mode 2?

Sorry, which logo do you need? When I look at the link on how to use hyperterminal I cannot open any of the .pnf files? I have downloaded hyperterminal but as I cannot open the png I don't know what to do with it. I don't know how to upload files to the board either. Cannot find any setting or options to do this. Can you please explain it all to a dummy like me?

OK thanks for showing how to use hyper terminal, but now that I know how to use it what am I supposed to do with it and once I have done it how can I send it to you? You mentioned a logo? Do you mean the boot log that appears on hyperterminal? I can send it to you right now as I had it right at the beginning, I got it using Putty which is much easier to use. The problem is how do I attach a file or a screen dump to these forum messages?

Here is he booting log. It gets up to "NO CA FOUND" and it stops. I then press X and it carries on up to "libpagecache exists... drop caches now!" where it keeps printing the same thing and it doesn't go any further.
Can this help you to work out what is going wrong?
Many thanks again

Many thanks.
A language suggestion if I may: "logo" is an icon, a drawing or a picture representing for instance a company or organization. For instance the logo for Shell (the oil company) is a yellow shell.
What you mean is "log" instead. A log is the output of a logging operation, as in this case what Hyperterminal reads on the com port and prints to screen. Hope you don't mind my pedantic comment but logo instead of log causes confusion. It certainly confused me at first.

log = enigma2_debug_text
It is mean (Enigma2 language) file text to the path of enigma2 work.
