Please help meeee!! I'm getting insane! I have an 800HD with sim 2.01 and ssl76 (was before, now it says #84b on no ca found screen). I've made the null modem cable by the picture below, but no method recognize my box. I've tried NCF-SIM2-v2.5, optiflasher 1.0.9, patched dreamup and nothing sees my box. Also tried hyper terminal and I get no info back. Nothing. Tried all this on two laptops and one desktop computer.

Then problem from null modem cable .. maybe you did not made it correctly..try another cable

Almost the same problem as you.
In the software you have to choose your com(serial)port, first detect.

I am a nube in this, but hobbie now more than ten years, Soldered readers, links to ripped phonebooth cards and so, in these days we had to xor and so on a pease of paper.

I could not find my old 0modemcable and bought one in china, free mail for 2,05 euro (dx.c*m)

I didn't understand you quite well. Did you solve your problem or not? And if you did, how?

I did select my COM1 port, but in vain, there is no communication between the laptop and the box.

So the problem is not from windows and the problem is from one of the two:
1-Null modem cable.
2-Motherboard of you box.
So check your null modem cable with another box if working then the problem from box.

I don't have another box but i did tried with another reciever with serial port and hyper terminal did get response from it. So, i suppose it's the box. Let's say it is.....what to do?

Perhaps the cable connection with Simple device, but does not convey information..
Check your null modem cable as like in these pictures:
   
   
   
If you make sure the cable is working then your box have some problem take to technical ...

Hi,
I have DM800 HD PVR. I was (am) so silly to flash it with Ferrari-SSL88F-allrussian-7-20120609-Elhawary.nfi .Got error! look at [Only registered and activated users can see links You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.] * erro1: No ca found. I have used Optiflasher and got message "Wrong Boot Response". as I understand, it's because there is no SSL88F in the list. So please tell me, what can I do...
P.S. I have no paypal. Is there another way to make donation?
