Dear yassinov and equally respected associates,

First, thanks for your reading my post.
I've never though I would finish here, beeing in the technical profession as well, but look like experience is something that you cannot substitute in some specific area.
No need need to say that they shall be a donation whether it can be solved here or either send to get it repair. I'd be very grateful of any hint that shed the light on this issue.

Problem data:

- device type : DM800HD PVR (DM800pro)
- authenticity : clone
- sim version: 2.01
- boot loader : a little confused :

1/in the very first image, telenetting "ipkg list" would give dreambox second bootloader 76 r1, however if I keep the on/ff button pressed when connecting the supply, I see second bootloader 82 (the mode allowing to uploading a new image through http)

2/I successfully applied the image: Sat4fun-Dreamelite-BlackHole_PHOENIX_DM800HD-SIM2-SSL84.nfi then ssl becomes 84.

nb: Actually, the problem occured when trying to upload the image: "OoZooN-Image-dm800-3.2.1.nfi"

-> I've done the following:

- making sure to use real DB9 (no usb) cable or cross-over on windows XP station (not mobile). I've made my own DB9 cable based on straight rs232 cable reshuffled into
1,9: not connected
2->3
3->2
5->5
4->6
6->4
7->8
8->7
(and checked with a multimeter)
I've used from the old dreamup software for DM500 up to the patched dreamup of 2009 from forhike and natas.
whether using cross over cable (tested ) with the right device config on XP or serial connection @ switching on just after pressing connect or 15s after pressing connect according to other versions nothing happened.
I've used basically all software of the Dreamoem toolbox v9 including all of yassinov included in this compilation, nothing happened.

I've ordered a new DB9 cable, as of today I hope it's only a cable problem.

again, I'd be very grateful of any hint that shed the light on this issue.

BEst regards, Tareeq

Dear Yassinov,

I've downloaded an executable file named: "DreamBox-OptiFlasher-Pro-E2-v2.0.0.2"

It complains that "SSL-BT no exist" whether you have

(same hierarchie level as SSL-BT)
---DreamBox-OptiFlasher-Pro-E2-v2.0.0.2
`-SSL-BT(containing all bootoaders)

or
(under SSL-BT)

--SSL-BT(containing all bootoaders)
`-DreamBox-OptiFlasher-Pro-E2-v2.0.0.2

Independantly, the box doesnt at hook up @ at the indicated baudrate.

HI,

I simply disconnect the sim card (without closing the slot).

frond led:red keeps blinking
front screen:
"Dream
Multimedia
-> error !"

Back led rj45: data(yellow) activated
Back led rj45: connect(green) activated

the same operation gives the same results.
Thanks,

Ill take a break and have lunch, and get back to the same setup later on.
Your antispam filter is too harsh, the former one was banned (?????!!!) I had to recreate another account. please advise.
Dear all,

I've fixed my problem. This is how I've done it With Win7 and hardware serial port:

0) Use the loopback technique to check that OS is fine, com1 is fine then ultimately DB9 null modem cable is working fine. I use hyperterminal and short pin 2 and 3 and check that what Im typing appears on the screen, this is validation criteria. This continue so forth until I find the right cable ( 2 iterations)

1)Ensure dreambox is unplugged

2) Connect dbox to com port with NULL MODEM CABLE

3) Fire up Hyperterminal create profile using profile

connection 115200 8 none 1 none

4 Click ok to activate should see a flashing cursor in hyperterminal

5 Power up Dreambox, wait few seconds and hit the 'f' key.

I've seen the 'Err01 no Ca found' dissapear, a few lines of garbage appear in hyperterminal window and dreambox loading onto 'STOP' looking for DHCP assigned IP.

IP had displayed shortly after where I can follow many other procs on here to access http://<displayed ip> and proceed with loading the correct SSL image.

Thanks for all. !!
