Dreammultimedia--error (Sim holder broken) (DM800-Sim2.01) - buduk - 08-05-2013

new to all this as far as I know its a dm800hd pvr ,been working great then crashed and get the above message used dreamup to repait loader but when I go to flash it says file to big!! tried optiflash and flashes but then comes up no ca ? I don't mind donating if I can fix this or is it goosed ?

dm800
Genuine(was told when bought)
sim 2.01
switchin on dm get dream multimedia error
so tried dreamup got no ca 2nd stage bootloader
repaired then on flashing file to big
opti flash flashed it but got no ca found at the bottom
no ca needs ld2 for genuine which I don't mind donating but dm8oo is knackered I don't see the point as its been good to me for 18months could just cut my losses and leave this great piece of kit to the peeps that know what there doing

Should be know exactly what kind of sim you have... If your box genuine then should be have multimedia sim (original sim) if have sim2 then box clone only you can flash patched image to sim2...

So from this link follow tutorial (Repair [No Ca Found]) :

1-select your com and loader LD1 (for Sim2)
2-continue until to select Repair [No Ca Found] here choose sim2.01/sim2.10 and choose (DM800-sim2.01-ssl84b)

And let optiflasher to finish, then let we know what happen ...

as it worked really well before it crashed

Second Stage OK!
Boot Success & Ready For Job Process!

Actually you have (dream multimedia ->error ) this mean sim error ...

me again read the link and and pressed down on the sim while plugging in power lead and worked 1 question is what do I need to do now ??? also I cant for the life of me see how to remove sim or replace holder tried youtube with no luck ,and thanks very much for all your help

update got to the sim by removing motherboard looks like the holder is broken ;-( is there anyway of fixing or can it be replaced easily ?? looked on the web but nothing showing on how to replace them thanks in advance

No way to fix it, the best thing buy new holder ... Try Google

cheers pal all sorted now decided on a diff approach and drilled top of the box and put a bolt through too keep the sim in place works fine (until the next problem ) thanks again
